    Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS II USM advice

    400mm 2.8 DO is a rather light lens. I guy I met a few weeks ago who bought one for this very reason - "the heaviest lens I can realistically carry around with the best reach (with convertors)" However it is discontinued and often goes for prices well in excess of £3000 on the used market. Sam
