    At least you saw some dolphins! It was nothing but YL Gulls on the Lanzarote-Fuerteventura crossing in December and not many of them.

    That seems a reasonable explanation. The Lanzarote-Fuerteventura crossing, using Naviera Armas, was certainly short. Virtually no birds either.
