    What was your bird #1 and when?

    Doubt it was my first bird but I remember hearing a bird and the boy I was with (I was maybe 12) said it was a mistle thrush and I should look for the highest point of the highest tree I could find - and there it was. I was hooked at that point I think because it clearly wasn't a matter of luck...
