New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

But click-detents don't always work very well... Plus it's not far away from the focus wheel... I would imagine it could easily get knocked.. Wonder why they didn't put the Dipoter underneath like the CL pockets Cheers Tim

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

My source said the SLC which includes the 56 versions... But he wasn't specific... It might mean the 56 remains and the 42 is done away with... I agree. They would be shooting themselves in the foot... Just passing on what I heard... Cheers Tim

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Hi Lee.. The information comes from a trusted source who sells these binoculars for a living. Yes.. Its a shock about the SLC. The 8 10 and 15x 56 would be a significant loss. According to the source future FP's will have a reduced close focus so not to compete with the NL. And before I get...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Just heard that the EL's are going to be continued to be produced but they will replace the SLC as a mid range binocular.. Plus the close focus of the Field Pro's is goin to be reduced so it doesn't compete with the NL's. Can anybody else confirm this... Cheers Tim

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Just to answer this question specifically, yes it would be. The Absam ring is produced by a field flattener lens (Swarovision) sharpening the edge of the field, which most binos don't do. New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Thanks Pat.... It's both a blessing and a curse to have 20/30 vision so my eyes are very sharp and notice even minor discrepancies in image softness... I'll review them as soon as I can get my hands on a pair... Cheers Tim

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Has anybody on the forum looked through a pair yet... I'll try and get hold of a pair in September and do a review.. But if they have an Absam ring I won't be buying them sadly. The Absam ring in my 8x32 SV's still annoys me. Question... Is it possible to have the massive FOV of the NL's without...

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

Be interesting to see if the NL defies the laws of physics and eliminates the Absam ring.. Is it actually possible to have a huge fov without one.? Cheers Tim

New Product Introduction Today From Swarovski ?

I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of 10x42's. However, to buy them outright I'll have to sell both my current 10x42 SV's and my 8x32 SV's... I think a binocular over 2.5 K is a bit much... I mean, that's more than I paid for my car Cheers Tim
