Andy - I think there's a bit of a mix-up here. We are all (including you) agreeing that this is Denham's Bustard.

I think Sicklebill is referring to the part of the bird I have arrowed in this enlarged and lightened photo.

Ahhh! Thank you. I was thinking that he meant the back of the neck and not "just behind" the neck.
 
Browsing some images, this bird is at the paler end of the spectrum for the deepness and extent of the rufous colouration.
