Hello,

next month I will spend a few days in the city of Kuala Lumpur. As I have never been to Malaysia, I am asking you which birds can I expect, if I take a walk through the city? (please mention even very common species:)

Regards,
Janez

(I didnt want to open a new topic just for the question;)

Rock Dove (feral pigeon)
Zebra Dove
Spotted Dove
House Crow
Asian Glossy Starling
Eurasian Tree Sparrow
Brown-throated Sunbird
Oriental Magpie-Robin
Common Myna
Javan Myna
Pacific Swallow
Barn Swallow
Asian House Martin
Asian Palm Swift
House Swift
Yellow-vented Bulbul
White-throated Kingfisher
Black-naped Oriole
Blue-tailed Bee-eater

This isn't an exhaustive list - its just most of the birds I've seen on a couple of past visits to KL, mostly in the Central City area. But I guess its some of the species you are most likely to see on a walk through the city. Enjoy KL - Malaysia is a fabulous country, worth getting out of the city to explore if you have any time or on a subsquent visit perhaps.
