Someone not far from my town is selling these Sans & Streiffe 7x35 binocs. Never heard of the brand before. Are they any good? I'm interested in a good quality 7x bino.

This particular binocular looks like a simple bottom of the line Japanese 7x35 from the 50s to the 70s, probably not much better or worse than many other similar ones. The FOV is very narrow and the designation "coated optics" really means that most of the glass surfaces are uncoated. If that sounds like what you want I wouldn't pay more than $15-20 if it's in good condition and still reasonably well collimated.

...but it is the #802 All-Star edition...;]
