Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (4 Viewers)

Another Willow Warbler this afternoon just west of Salwarpe.

Singing Yellowhammers between Chatley and Hawford and near Salwarpe.

73 species recorded in march and 78 total for Q1 2017.

This is somewhat less than last year - when 84 species had been noted by this time. The main factor is probably the generally dry conditions experienced this winter. Last years's floods attracted several species of wildfowl etc that haven't occurred yet this year.

Singing Blackcaps widespread.
3 Gadwalls at Hawford (2 drakes).

7 Redwings this morning were the first I've seen for over a week and may be the last I'll see for a few months.
