Hello,
This is my first year putting up a bird box and I am happy to have a pair of blue birds nesting. Only one chick has made it thus far, and it has feathers, looks pretty mature, but I don't know the age. On a walk in the neighborhood today I found a nest with 4 babies, only fuzzy- no feathers... deserted on the ground. A neighbor said that blue birds try to make nests where the newspapers are put under our mailboxes, and I think someone just tossed them out because there wasn't a tree near where they were at. Anyway I didn't think they would survive even if I put them in a tree, so I put them in my box. Just curious to know what anyone else would have done. Thank you
