Hello from the Rockies (1 Viewer)

Hello there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

I feed my birds all year round and in spite of more than a dozen feeders, they still help themselves to the bugs on the lawn. Some feel that you are allowing the weak to survive this way but until I see scientific proof, I'll keep on doing what I am doing now ;)

I absolutely agree with KC. I would however suggest that birds are not selectively fed if there is a danger of imbalance in your local bird population although I doubt that will be the case. Welcome to Bird Forum. Have fun.

Hello from the Rockies ~thanks

"Take only pictures, leave only footprints, kill only time"! WOW.
I LOVE that!
Thanks to you all for the terrific welcome.
I think I'll go get that feeder filled now. We have squirrel-mania around here, so I got a feeder that is only accessible by little songbirds. The bigger birds and pesky squirrels can't get to the sunflower seeds. But it is funny to see the squirrels contort themselves, trying. They are very innovative.
