Where have all of the birds gone? Here in Callander, there is an eerie silence in the air! Just the occasional Collared dove or Jackdaw. No finches, warblers or thrushes. Going out for walks is definitely no fun atm!
 
Can get very quiet for spells at this time of year when a lot of stuff is keeping it's head down while in posthe breeding moult. A friend who once worked answering phone queries for the RSPB said he had to reassure a lot of folk at this time of year calling about the dearth of songbirds that it was just a temporary regular thing and everything would liven up again before too long.
