I had posted a Moon photo on here and thought it didn't look that great, never tried using my Orion 100ED for this before this one time last fall. I got an email from Pete, I guess he gets updates of this thread and the link didn't work, a ghost post ;) Sorry if anybody else got that. So here is what I had posted. The Moon shot was taken on my heavy Bogen tripod and Bogen 501 head Pentax K100DSuper ISO 200 1/500/s Excellent photos on here fellows.

Second Moon is what Pete on here "fixed" for me.

Nothing wrong with server tbc. How are you attemtping to attach pics ?

Just below the ' SUBMIT REPLY ' button you'll see ' MANAGE ATTACHMENTS ' button.

When you have finished typing, dont hit the SUBMIT REPLY button yet, but hit the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS button lower down.

A box will pop up, and you will have to stretch the box to the right to see all the buttons, especially the ' UPLOAD ' button.

Hit the ' BROWSE ' button first. This will let you navigate around your PC for photos. When you have found what you want, click 'OPEN' then click 'UPLOAD ' ...when you have finished ( you can do more than one, just repeat the browse / upload sequence ) close the box and then hit ' SUBMIT REPLY ' button

That should sort it

Hej Fotonisse!

Good shots! If it's possible, could you add iso and speed settings?
(how do you like the oly 1.4tc with the skywatcher?)

I really don't find the EC-14 being better than a 2" ED barlow..., but I need to do some more comparison to be sure.

First (quasi-) share-able afocal image

This is nothing like the beauties produced by the experts here, but at least a little of that "single feather resolution" we all love to see.

I like the solidity of the adapter system. Now, just need to figure out how to focus and expose.

Thanks again, all, for the helpful advice and inspirational images.

oops...wrong forum

sorry for the afocal post in this (most excellent) prime gallery (and for the fish-in-a-barrel feeder shot)

Best wishes,

Scott

Musoman,

I apologise for not able to share my shots here. Today is the 3rd day trying to load but gave up. When I click "upload", either error message : IE is not able to display the web page, or it will ask me to log in again, and when I log in again to repeat the steps, either the page doesn't load or it will request me to log in.

I'm wondering now if its IE thats the problem. I never use IE myself, as i think its a pain. I've been using Firefox for years now, and dont have any problems.

If you're willing to try another browser, maybe try Firefox and see what happens. If its still giving you the same grief, then i guess it must be some setting on your PC

Hi
I recently obtained an old blue Skywatcher 80ED and so far I am delighted with it, using it in combination with a Panasonic GH2.
I had a go at the nearly full moon last friday. Picture attached ( I hope)
