I would have loved to have one in 500-600mm. It's a shame they stopped at 300mm and didn't even offer a 400mm to compete with Canon among others.
 
Welcome to the frustrations of the being in the Nikon fold !

It would be 'nice' if Nikon did a lot of things ! :)

There is the Nikon PF 300 f4 + 1.4×TC for 420mm @f5.6 (630mm equivalent) , or if you need zoom capability - one of the third-party Sigma or Tamron 100-400 f5-f6.3 zooms (150mm - 600mm equivalent).

There is also the bigger, heavier, more expensive Nikon 80-400 f4.5-f5.6 that they'd probably like to steer you into ....... they do that a lot ! :eek!: :cat: :-O
