Taken a few weeks ago at Loch of the Lowes.

Sitting quietly in the hide this flew past below the window. I jumped up and managed to grab a few shots as it flew past a different window into the trees.

My first thought was Sparrowhawk, but when I saw the pictures, thought Buzzard and someone else wondered about Red Kite (I've never seen one there, though they have been recorded).

Sorry about the awful pictures, I was in the darkness in the middle of the hide and shooting past people, just desperately trying to get an image.

I still think Sparrowhawk is the most likely, but your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

That shot (No 3) is the one that made me think Buzzard, but the initial fly-by really made me think Sparrowhawk.

Cheers.
