I am a UK birder who will be spending the period 22 March to 6 May 2019 in Victoria near Melbourne. I am looking for recommendations for good birding sites locally, and also for local birders who might be willing to introduce me to local sites and Australian birds. I will be staying in Lancefield, and will have time available on weekdays. Happy to share fuel costs, and I will also have access to a car on some days. Can anyone help please? Many thanks Vic

Hi Vic and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.... you'll be spending a lovely long time in Lancefield, won't you.

Here is a link to our Opus article for the state of Victoria, which you may find of interest. There's a lot of links at the bottom too, which you could find helpful.

It might be an idea to post in the Information Wanted forum where more members are likely to see your post.

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.
