Reed Warbler? (1 Viewer)

Recording from a small, uniform brown, chiffchaff-sized bird with a white throat patch singing from a hidden position within reeds earlier this AM. (Somerset, UK)

Sadly no photos, but I managed a recording.

I’m thinking Reed Warbler from listening to some example recordings, would you experts concur?

Many thanks!

Sounds good to Reed warbler to me, slower and more staccato than Sedge, without the dry buzzing and descending "Wheee" notes. Limited locations for Reed in BS26, so a decent local record ;)

Many thanks for the ID and tips Dan, that's a new one for me - and nice to find something a bit different locally, despite the lockdown!

Many thanks and all the best,

Oli
