Durham Birding (5 Viewers)

Any reports of an Egret in the area? Pretty sure I've just seen one in a field in Darlington. It had the distinctive hump under the neck of a heron, was pure white and flew straight and slow. But I've never 'had' an egret yet so I'm not sure of which species its more likely to be.

Terrible pics but it was all I could get

Anyone low on swallow numbers this year. I did a bird survey late last month and the numbers were down but that could've been down to the cold wet weather we had just experienced, but it's 3 weeks on and the numbers here are still very low.
