A non-birding trip in the area around Crieff turned out to be very enjoyable with lots of Buzzards and woodland birds. Plus the highlight:

I put a lot of effort in today through wet and windy weather to get 3 lifers within South Lanarkshire, none of which I connected with. Just one of those days, I guess. However I picked up a couple for the year:

111. Ringed Plover (location witheld)
112. Wheatear (Culter Glen)

14.4.2012

A very productive and enjoyble walk along the Clyde Valley this afternoon:

114. Grey Wagtail
115. Swallow
116. Sand Martin
117. House Martin

28.4.2012

A trip to the east side of Loch Lomond didn't get me my first Redstart but a couple of good year ticks to be had, and a 3-hour trek brought me a much sought-after lifer:

119. Willow Warbler
120. Wood Warbler
121. Cuckoo*

12.5.2012

A trip to the east side of Loch Lomond, mainly around Inversnaid, again today to continue the Redstart search. A couple of possible flyovers but not certain enough to count. Some great bonus prizes though:

124. Pied Flycatcher*
125. Tree Pipit
