Hi Folks,

I am traveling to SouthEast Asia (Laos, Myanmar/Burma) for a few weeks and want to avoid carrying a heavy print field guide. Are there any field guides as ebooks or tablet apps that cover this region that are recommend?

Looking for recommendations for SouthWest China as well.

Dave

There isn't one as far as I know. However, the concise edition of Robson's Birds of Southeast Asia (first published 2005) is not heavy – 1.5 pounds. That is impressively light considering it covers 1270 species.
