This morning I noted a Mistle Thrush atop the highest oak tree behind my garden, it subsequently dropped down to a smaller tree and started singing!!
I’ve never known MT’s to sing this early?
Cheers
Heard one this morning singing from my Suffolk garden, which I thought was a tad early
Heard & saw one two weeks ago.
Very lovely too.
Was it singing H or “trr-rr-rrr-ing?”
Dunnocks at full blast round my way until Monday's gonad-shrinking wind...

Well if you will insist on always wearing that kilt what do you expect?
I can recall (during my previous life) Blackbird singing on 21st December in London W1 many moons ago, and it gave a tremendous lift, on a grey day just like today.
