Favourite bird species (1 Viewer)

Thanks

Hello,

My favorite local bird, of late, is the Northern Flicker.

Illustration by Louis Agassiz-Fuertes from Woodpeckers by Fannie Hardy Eckstrom, circa 1903.

Stay safe,
Arthur

Thanks. Nice illustration.

A common enough bird for Australians but I was blown away when I saw Galahs in my sisters back garden. They still charm me when I visit. They won’t take food from you but they wander over over to my sister and wait for her to put barley, wheat, oats and sunflower seeds on the ground.
