3 Lapwings over Tapenhall yesterday
3 Greylags around Hawford fishing pools
Gadwall - several including small flocks up to 6
Coot on Tapenhall pool and, unusually, on the canal at Hawford yesterday
Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel
Cuckoos around Salwarpe and Porter's Mill - Hawford (2 seen together near Mildenham yesterday)
Kingfisher
Skylarks
House Martin's, an increase in resident Swallows, Sand Martins
Grey and Pied Wagtails
Mistle Thrushes
Good numbers of Common and Lesser Whitethroats
Abundant Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs
Linnets, Bullfinches, Greenfinches
Yellowhammers along Sinton Lane
Reed Buntings

A Brown Hare (my first on the patch this year) was at Knight's Grove this morning.
 
Little Egret near the confluence. Cuckoo calling nearby.
Peregrine on pylon near Knight's Grove earlier.
A welcome increase in Swallow numbers with 16+ around Moat farm. House Martins passing through there.
Little Grebe on small pool between Chatley and Hawford.
 
4 Swifts over Coney Meadow late morning. Cuckoo calling there and Lesser Whitethroat singing.

Yellowhammer singing near Jacob's Ladder earlier.
2 Greylags near Hawford fishing pools
Brown Hare seen again near Knight's Grove
 
Grey Partridge flushed in field between Chatley and Tapenhall - so one or two are still around.
4 Lapwings over Mildenham earlier
Cuckoos around Salwarpe - Copcut and Tapenhall this morning so far.
 
Single Swifts over Middleton Bank and Ladywood this evening.

A Muntjac was seen in Knight's Grove this morning. Singing Yellowhammer nearby.
 
A drake Mandarin over Moat Farm this morning.
2 Great Crested Grebes near the confluence
Cuckoos at Coney, Mildenham and Hawford Mill
Coot on Tapenhall pool
20+ Swifts over Coney and a few House Martins mid morning
All the resident warblers including several Lesser Whitethroats.
Yellowhammers along Sinton Lane.
A juvenile Robin at Ladywood lock
 
Spotted Flycatcher flew over Coney and now perched in a distant tree on High Park. 2 Swifts over and Cuckoo calling.

3 Cuckoos over the car park at Porter's Mill (2m,1f)
2Cuckoos at Tapenhall (1m,1f)
1 Male Cuckoo at Linacre bridge and 5 Tufted Ducks over there.
 
The pair of Coots on Tapenhall pool have 4 young.
Male and female Cuckoos around there this morning with further birds at Salwarpe and Linacre bridge.
2 Swifts over Tapenhall plus more near Coney
Kingfisher, Grey Wagtails, Greylag, Sand Martins, House Martins, Gadwalls, Lesser Whitethroats, etc.
 
A single Little Egret over near Hawford this morning.
Cuckoo at Coney first thing.
The usual warblers.
Juvenile Grey Wagtail and Long-tailed Tit seen.
 
My first damselfly of the year this morning - a Beautiful Demoiselle near Hawford Mill. Butterflies included Orange Tips, Holly Blues, Brimstones, Comma, Peacocks, Speckled Woods and Green-veined White.

Cuckoos around Ladywood and Salwarpe this evening. Reasonable numbers of hirundines around Porter's Mill including one Sand Martin. Swifts (10+) over Droitwich.

Juvenile Great Tits seen.

A Brown Hare was in Knight's Grove woodland yesterday and a Marsh Tit singing and showing well this morning plus 2 Cuckoos.

A Peregrine was on a pylon near Middleton Grange. Cuckoo at Coney and 10+ Swifts over.

Lots of juvenile Starlings around.
 
Cuckoo calling this evening from the big oak tree in the field south of Egg Lane car park, then flew off down the canal towards Linacre Bridge. Juvenile goldfinches with adults on the canal heading towards Porters Mill. Lots of reed & sedge warblers about and a very bold jay landed on the towpath 30ft in front of me
