Koenigi is not really part of Lanius meridionalis, rather belong to North Africa Lanius elegans...

Your bird should be therefore called DESERT SHRIKE in English

This classification is not yet adpoted by IOC which, however, states:
Lanius excubitor complex requires serious revision [...] (Olsson et al 2009)
