Hi, I'm John Ricarte, a birder in the Philippines, member of Wild Bird Club of the Philippines (WBCP). A bird-lover from childhood, but started proper birding recently. My wife and I bird together. Started as something to do together for leisure, but now evolving as a serious sport. I love photography too, and both hobbies seem to match well. It was suggested I join Birdforum to help identify species correctly. Anyway, glad to join.

So, how does one post a photo for identification?

Hi John and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here. I look forward to hearing your news and will hopefully see some of your pictures in the Gallery too.

To post your pictures for identification, go into the ID forum, then click on the large red New Thread Button.

Give your thread a suitable title, and after typing your post, scroll down below the message page till you see a grey button for Manage Attachments. Click on that and a new box opens. Browse for your first picture and upload it. Wait a second or two until you see the file name appear in the box. You can do that 4 more times for that post. Close the box and return to your post. Preview it and you will see your pictures have attached properly.

I hope this helps.

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits. My daughter is currently on holiday in the Philippines and having a great time.
