Hi again,

I need help to identify these martins. The four first pictures are from the same bird. The last one is a different individual that seems somehow different. These pictures were taken in Holbox, last August 22th, 2018.

Thanks

Nobody wants to try? I think that martins in this area are difficult to differentiate (especially youngs and females).

Purple martin in that plumage often shows a pale collar (https://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=315577). I am therefore leaning towards that for your last bird. I am not sure whether that is always or only sometimes and my books is not where I am, so cannot say for sure.

I left a lot of my own shots from the migration period in Yucatan as SP.
