Hi all,

I wish to replace my binoculars for Christmas :)

I can spend up to about £200. I need them for general bird watching. I have a few local reserves which I like to visit. I view mainly from hides.

Suggestions please :)

Hi

I were glasses and use Helios 10x42. I like them, but they have seen a lot of wear and are a bit scratched.

Julie,

I wouldn't pick an arguement with Pyrtle's over his below £200 suggestions, but this might be the weekend to push your luck on a better deal. Pick up the phone and make a cheeky offer on an Opticron WA ED Oasis-C Plus 8x42. ;)

Thanks for the info pyrtle - you are correct I am not keen to use the supplier however will look for the opticrons elsewhere:)

Okay Julie, thanks for updating. I have checked and can confirm Uttings are a licensed gunsmith and actively retail a variety of products used in the UK shooting and hunting industry. Binoculars and telescopes are an accessory in regard to Field Sports.
