Garden / Yard List 2017 (12 Viewers)

Unfortunately work got in the way of a potential garden tick today, there was a Bee-eater about 100 metres from my garden which was last seen flying towards my house. Some consolation from a bird on the feeders this afternoon.

Interesting that while the UK is seeing lots more Hawfinches than usual, here in my part of France I've only had the odd singletons instead of the flocks I'd usually see in October. Still, the first heavy frost has brought good numbers of finches into the garden, including this one a few minutes ago:

Interestingly when I totalled up the number of species physically in the garden and not out at sea or flying over I have hit 30 species this year.
 
Wari....that is "Snowjoke" is that an early date for you? :eek!:

Not very early but surprisingly much. But they are all gone for now...:-C
Last night the temperature fell to -10 degrees.

Richard, Redwings are on their way... Fielfares and waxwings we keep here for a while.
