6:30 -8:30 or so this morning before the rain started ...

Dan I was in Falmouth briefly a few weeks back and saw a Peregrine over my Dad's house in Trescobeas Road - it had just made a kill and flew off towards the industrial estate.

They are about, looking at reports over the last few weeks. Yet to see one from my place though! And won't be long before the Oystercatchers and Curlews are back on the field opposite the fire station again ...

On the subject of overflying raptors, see a Goshawk was reported over Falmouth last sunday, mobbed by Ravens (which could have been a useful aid to the id ... ! ) Chanced by Stithians Reservoir briefly yesterday afternoon, saw a Whimbrel and a Yellow Wagtail (along with 20+ Pieds), although the mass fall of waders reported (Bar-tailed Godwit, Turnstone and Wood Sands etc) had either moved on or been dispersed by the shoreline dog walking activities of the locals ...

Water levels pretty low there too.

Argal Reservoir this morning (7:15 - 8:30), foggy, hadn't really cleared before I had to leave. Only encountered 2 Grey Heron and the odd BH Gull, until I reached the 'beach' back near the car park;

Green Sandpiper 1

Mallard 32
