First Tawny Owl sighting in ages! (1 Viewer)

Finally managed to spot a tawny again after many unsuccessful birding trips!

I was walking down a woodland trail and heard a lot of commotion just off the path, Blackbirds and Blue tits were definitely swearing at something!

I followed the noise and thought it must be a bird of prey, then after just quietly looking around some older trees in the area something caught my eye and finally, I spotted the tawny peeping out its hollow!

For me this is something I've wanted to see for ages and am glad to have seen one again. The photo isn't great but it's definitely a tawny!

Well done, nice pic. I was lucky to see my first Tawny last year as I was walking back to the car after playing golf.
