Autumnwatch 2019 (1 Viewer)

Just looked on the Autumnwatch website and I can confirm the new series will be starting on Tuesday 29th October.

I just found out over 1 hour ago, that for the first time for about 3-4 years approx there are live webcams on the BBC Autumnwatch website from the cameras from all over different parts of Abernethy, as well as on the BBC iPlayer and 1 webcam on YouTube. 1 of the webcams is a live multi screen of 9 or 10 cameras in different parts of Abernethy and 1 webcam that changes from time to time to give a full view from a selection of different cameras. I just found out late today as I’ve been out all day birdwatching somewhere local to where I live. The BBC stopped broadcasting live webcams on Autumnwatch and Winterwatch over 3-4 years ago approx and only Springwatch in recent years has had live wildlife webcams over the 3 week period of that series. But hopefully this might be a sign of things to come, like it used to be. When I last checked the Autumnwatch website yesterday, nothing was mentioned about this. So this is quite a pleasant surprise.
Ian.

Talk about dumbing down. I thought much of it was aimed at primary aged children. Surely most people know why we have seasons and the earth's axis being on a tilt? Ditto as to why leaves turn different colours in the autumn and fall?

As fast as knowledge is expanded, learning recedes as the plebs choose X-box, X-factor and 4X over Xpanding their minds.

Birders are an island of curiosity and cerebration in a sea of self-selected moronity. All those years of evolution and education totally wasted....

I recall a panel debate with Dawkins, who was asked about evolution today. He opined that we appearded to be in a period of de-evolution at the moment. Perhaps he was right!
