Looks like a lark. I think it's a bar-tailed desert lark but maybe a female black-crowned sparrow lark ?

female Black-crowned Sparrow-Lark. Bill much too strong for BT Lark and too rufous.

That's a hell of a bill for a Bar-tailed. This bird looks much better for the female sparrow-lark.

Female Black-crowned Sparrow-Lark makes sense now... Mostly seen in the company of Males...
