Further to my posting a spreadsheet of all the ringing gulls sighted at Upton Warren, I am currently chasing all records where I haven't had a response. As is often the case it is the European projects which are first to respond.

A juvenile Mediterranean Gull sighted at the Flashes on the 6th August 2007 sporting a white leg ring with code 35V8 was ringed in the nest at Noordelijk Insteekdok, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium on the 27th May 2007. We had a ringed Med Gull the following year also from the same colony.

A juvenile Mediterranean Gull sighted at the Flashes on the 20th and 21st August 2006 sporting a white leg ring with black code 3K80 was ringed in the nest at Ineos, Zwijndrecht, Antwerpen, Belgium on the 2nd June 2006.

Whilst not recorded again at Upton Warren the bird has a very extensive re-sighting history having been subsequently re-ringed as white E825 and was still being noted earlier this year, making the bird nearly 13 years old:

A host of responses from ringing scheme coordinators over the weekend. To kick off:

I have had it confirmed at Black-headed Gull with white leg rink with code 21A5, noted on the 16th July 2011, was ringed at the Cotswold Water Park in the late Noughties - I am awaiting fuller details on the bird.
