Hi Terry
It usually June or August when I have been there but I cant think of many that would be on the wing unless the cardinal butterfly is. I have heard they are on Mallorca but they have apparently stopped flying by the time I have visited.Just checked the Collins guide and it says they on the wing mid May.
Hi Terry
Mallorca doesn't have a long list of butterflies. Some common species are already on the wing. I don't know of a phenology chart for the various species but this brief guide: http://www.aen.cat/intranet/archivos/25_06_1014_23_02petita_guia.pdf
might give you an idea of what to look for when you are there.
Hope you have a good trip.
Martin
