I think you will find these resources very helpful if you are just beginning to process images with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. The first one is a basic primer on image correction and is also available to download as a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat):

Thank you Pete.. any assistance you can give to me is greatly accepted.. I will look into this when the sun goes down... I have LIGHT today so am off to plpaces less travelled!
 
Also there are free tutorials available at about.com. Anytime I need to find new info I go to Google and do a search for free Photoshop tutorials. There are many out there willing to share. Also I have learned there is more than one way to acheive the same thing. You may find more than one technique to remove red eye, etc. It's a never ending adventure for sure! LOL Moonifa
