Help Identify Bird in Montgomery, Alabama (1 Viewer)

This 5-inch (or so) bird flew into our back door and then had to recover on the stoop. I took the picture through the glass of the door. The bird's "accident" occurred in October in Montgomery, Alabama. I looked through my field guide but could not find a clear match. I'd appreciate any help you readers can provide in identifying the bird. Thank you. Charles
