50d firmware (1 Viewer)

I noticed today that the 50d that received as a replacement has the firmware 1.0.5 and not 1.0.3. The 50d with the 0.3 version was only brought last November. Can anyone tell me what the differance is. My camera was replaced because it started takeing realy soft photos with the count at 2500 clicks.

New cameras and those going in for service by Canon are coming out with the new firmware. Until it goes on general release to the public, with supporting documentation, I doubt anyone outside Canon knows what has changed.

FWIW I bought my 50D last October from Hong Kong. I have something like 5,000 clicks on mine and it has not failed me once so far. I am running the latest publicly available firmware - 1.0.3.
