The month gave us 102 species 20 being new for the year. new birds being :- House Martin max 40+, Yellow Wagtail max 4, Common Sandpiper max 2, Barnacle Geese x10, Whitethroat Max 20+, Redstart 3 different birds, Sedge Warbler several, Ring Ouzel male for 3 Days in the Maize Field and a female in Browns, Grasshopper Warbler x2 different birds, Lesser Whitethroat several, White Stork our 4th record, Reed Warbler several, Cuckoo over Salters, Garden Warbler several, Tree Pipit x2,an early Spotted Flycatcher ,swift, Arctic Tern x2, Common Tern and Whinchat.
Other birds of note Curlew, Red Kite, Yellow Legged Gull, Redwing x8, Fieldfare x9, Snipe x3, Little Ringed Plover x5, Little Egret x3, Wheatear upto 10 birds, Shelduck x3, Pochard, Goosander, Water Rail, Oystercatcher max 6 and 4 young hatched on the 23rd and several White wagtails.
Best counts being Lesser Black Backed Gull x80+, Black Headed Gull x30+ Blackcap 20+,Sand Martin x16, Linnet x15+, Shoveler c11 and Teal c8.
