Pipits and sandpipers, especially in possible juvenile plumage can a headache for me. Both birds photographed today. The two pipit images are the same bird. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd say Tawny Pipit and Ruff.

Many thanks. I had ruff down as likely, but sun has caught upper tail giving it more white - maybe that threw me a little.
