This afternoon I birded in a couple of places and picked up a new bird in each location.

Then when I came home another year bird flew over while I was sitting on my deck.

Went for an unsuccessful hunt for Jack Snipe and Bitterns this morning. Failed on both counts, but got a couple of other year ticks.
