Hallo everyone :hi:
I'm new here, in this community. I must confess, I know nothing about birds (in most cases I see the difference between a bird and a plane or a bird and a dog) However, I'm deep in the realm of optics and binoculars are the reason, why I'm here.
I use binoculars while doing trekkings in mountains, wihile sailing (mosty Italy), while doing stargazing (30+ years of experience)
I'm also bino collector with emphesize on Leitz/Leica + Zeiss West / Zeiss Jena models.

I'm happy to be among you!:t:

Hi goornik and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Welcome to Birdforum! I'm sure you'll find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.

Thank you so much much for such a warm welcome.
I also hope to do my first steps in birding - I'm especially interested in owls and large birds, like eagle, falcon, hawk....
I hope it is never too late to start dealing with them
