Hi all,

As you can probably tell im new to this forum.

I am currently on my final year of Product design at Glasgow caledonian universtiy.
For my final year project i am designing a nest box /bird housing for the struggling population of house sparrows in urban and built up areas.

Any advice, suggestions or ideas would be very much appreiciated :)

Also any suggestions for MUST haves
when making a nest box would be great .

Cheers

Huh. We have the opposite problem here. Too many house sparrows competing with and killing native species. From what I can see, house sparrows here will nest in just about anything as long as it's close to people. I've seen them nest in the cracks of buildings all the time and I know they love bluebird and purple martin houses here
