Hi guys,

I shot this bird by the hummingbird observatory above bogota. I originally ID'd it as Small-billed Elaenia, but its identity has been questioned on eBird. Any clues?

Lesser elaenia? Not three white wing bars, but otherwise could be either on these photos, I think. The bill isn't noticeably small, but this is a bit variable. What were the ebirds comments?

Possbly lesser.

Problem with eBird is that comments are not necessarily attached to the invalidation of a photo, so i have no clue what is actually wrong.

Only Small-billed and Mountain elaenias are recorded at the location.

Another thing against small-billed is yellowish lower flanks it seems to have. If it's really true that lesser isn't possible there, then that leaves mountain. It could be mountain: it has a rounded head and extensive white on the flight feathers. So perhaps that's my best guess. Need voice to be sure... When was it?
