The Eagle On Alliance has now filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Federal Court to protect the Norfolk Botanical Garden eagle pair. Despite continuing harassment by authorities and the removal of seven nests, this eagle pair is still there. The press release and articles are making appearances in newspapers all over the world, instead of installing avian radar and having properly trained personnel to clear the runway of dead birds/animals, they choose to harass this pair of eagles and ignore the many other large birds in the area and the large flocks of Canadian Geese which would seem to be a much bigger threat. Many other airports in the world have wildlife refuges adjacent to them or nearby without issue, why should Norfolk, VA be the exception to this?
