Hello Everyone,

I am Madhukar from India. An enthusiastic birder. I will be visiting Cardiff in mid July where my daughter is studying. Would like to go birding when I am there. Can somebody please let me know of the hotspots. Would welcome company. Its always good to meet fellow birders.

Hello Madhukar and welcome to BirdForum!

Try posting in the wales subforum here, there are plenty of active birders in the region who I am sure will be more than pleased to help!

Hi Madhukar and welcome to BirdForum. Cardiff Bay Nature Reserve is very small but can get some decent birds. Forest Farm is on the outskirts. A little further afield are Newport Wetlands and Goldcliff to the East, and Kenfig Pool to the West. July won’t be the best time for birds though.
