Hi Everyone,

Though I am known as SpiderMonkey my real name is David.
I am a lapsed zoologist. I studied seabirds at Glasgow Uni and then Myna's in SE Asia. I am lucky enough to have also studied elephants in the field too. Unfortunately this didn't last and I have been a software developer for the last 10 years. Fortunately I develop software for scientists.
Unfortunately I have not been birding as much as I would like recently (though I did recently visit central and south Spain).
If any of you have any advice about birding in the Okavango I would be very interested.
Also, I am keen to hear and share any experiences and ideas about equipment/ books and software for birding.

Hi there David and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum. :t:

We're glad you found us and thanks for taking a moment to say hello ;)

Hi David and a warm welcome from me too

I'm sure some of our members will have been to Okavango - try asking in the relevant Information Wanted sub-forum. Or perhaps do a search in Vacational Trip Reports
