Interesting but mainly so as an inter-generic cross given the prevalence of GW x BW hybrids in the area and the fact that these taxa are so very closely related to one another.

Fascinating stuff. This type of thing seems much more prevalent in plants than animals.

And doesn't it discredit one of the main tenets of the BSG that such things can't or shouldn't happen?
