Access to Spurn Point at present (1 Viewer)

Just wondered what access was like at present, obviously respecting coronavirus rules.

I am vaguely thinking of a day trip tomorrow. But is crossing the washed-away section dependent on high/low tide? I might take my bike and cycle the 3 miles if access is possible.

I have not been to Spurn for ages but as I understand it you are thinking along the right lines - just check the tide times.

People are obviously down the peninsula today - as I write this - as there have been a new Blyth's Reed at Middle Camp and at least one new Greenish, at the Narrows and later on the Parade Ground at the Point.

Tomorrow could be a good choice of day to visit looking at the forecast.

A few more bits and pieces there late morning - Marsh Warbler at the point, Nightjar in Kilnsea (flushed from Church Field) and Red-backed Shrike in the Triangle.

Cheers Steve, yeah checked tide times, not sure how many hours either side of high tide is it possible to cross, as its a 3 hour journey to Spurn from home.
