Today I drove over to the Ohio River Valley to chase a potential state lifer. I quickly found my target, as well as four other additions to my West Virginia Year List, all birds I saw last March in Mexico.
278. Franklin’s Gull
The gull was my 288th species for West Virginia and my third state lifer of the year.
