Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (1 Viewer)

After birding for an hour or so, I was on my way back to my vehicle - and was surprised when I saw this flycatcher nearby.

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Ours have flown south. The last of them left last week. Right before they left they all lined up on the fence and telephone lines and I didn'thave my camera. You have a good shot.
 
Thank you for your comments. Found out in my searching that the STF is Oklahoma's state bird. They are beautiful birds.

Hi Pattianne,
Nice photo. I saw these in Pine Bluff, Arkansas last spring when I when to visit my mother-in-law. They really are pretty. It seems like hauling that tail around would be difficult.
