The Leupold web page is showing a new model, the 15X56 BX-5 Santiam.

https://www.leupold.com/observation/binoculars/bx-5-santiam-hd/bx-5-santiam-hd/

The BX-5 indicates this is a high end model. So far, they are only showing it in a 15X.

My first thought was it looks like a possible clone to the Maven B-4. Here are some similarities:
- Both have similar double hinge bodies
- Both have AK prisms.
- Same length 8.2 inches.
- Same IPD 55-74.
- Same FOV 231 ft.
- Similar weight 45 vs 48 oz)
- Same close focus distance 9.8 ft.

Leupold did not state an eye relief figure so no comparison there.

The price for the gray model is listed on Optics Planet for $1,399.99. Two other color options are available for $50 more. The gray suggested retail price on the Leupold site is $1,819.99. The Maven B-4 15X56 stock model is $1,300.00.

It looks like Leupold is back with some new models.

Do you have the model name correct ? I suspect it is Samiam. ;)

I have been reading some Dr. Seuss books recently, makes more sense.

There is a Santiam river and pass in Oregon so I am assuming that is the basis for the name.

Hopefully this new model will be as good as green eggs and ham so says Sam-I-Am.

15x56 wow that huge. Maybe 8x56 but I don't get 15x I think they do that just for bait to get noticed 😁
Typically Leupold high end were all made in Japan. This might he made in CN.
Leupold must have been reading these board. Lol
Leupold if do please make the Mojave 8x32 with ED glass, keep all else the same 😄

15x56 is occasionally useful for Western hunters and long-distance birders who don't want a true scoe but need more reach.
